Manage your personal Nanabase account—profile, security, notifications, and preferences.

Account Settings#

Your account settings control your personal Nanabase experience across all company workspaces.

Profile#

Viewing Your Profile#

  1. Click your avatar in the top right
  2. Select Profile or Settings
  3. View your profile information

Editing Your Profile#

Name: Your full name as it appears to colleagues.

Email: Your login email. Changing this requires verification.

Photo: Upload a profile photo (PNG or JPG, max 2MB).

Job Title: Your current role/position.

Phone: Your phone number (optional).

Bio: Brief description about yourself (optional).

Changing Your Email#

  1. Go to Account SettingsEmail
  2. Enter new email address
  3. Click Change Email
  4. Verify via magic link sent to new address
  5. Email updated once verified

Changing your email changes your login. You'll use the new email for magic links.

Security#

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)#

Add extra security with 2FA:

Setting up 2FA:

  1. Go to Account SettingsSecurity
  2. Click Enable 2FA
  3. Scan QR code with authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, etc.)
  4. Enter verification code
  5. Save backup codes

Using 2FA: After entering your magic link, you'll be prompted for a 2FA code from your authenticator app.

Disabling 2FA:

  1. Go to Account SettingsSecurity
  2. Click Disable 2FA
  3. Enter current 2FA code to confirm

Active Sessions#

View and manage your active sessions:

  1. Go to Account SettingsSecurity
  2. See Active Sessions:
    • Device type
    • Location (approximate)
    • Last active
  3. Click Revoke to end any session

Logging Out#

Current device: Click your avatar → Log Out

All devices: Go to SettingsSecurityLog Out All Devices

Notifications#

Email Notifications#

Configure which emails you receive:

In-App Notifications#

Notifications appear in the bell icon:

  • Intro requests received
  • Intro requests accepted/declined
  • Join requests (admins)
  • Mentions and updates

Notification Preferences#

  1. Go to Account SettingsNotifications
  2. Toggle each notification type on/off
  3. Changes save automatically

Privacy Preferences#

Profile Visibility#

Control what colleagues see:

In company workspaces:

  • Name and photo: Always visible
  • Email: Visible to members
  • Phone: You choose (visible/hidden)
  • Bio: You choose (visible/hidden)

To external contacts: Your profile is never visible outside your company workspaces.

Activity Visibility#

Choose what activity colleagues can see:

  • Contacts you've shared (always visible)
  • When you're online (you choose)

Connected Accounts#

Viewing Connections#

See services connected to your account:

  1. Go to Account SettingsConnected Accounts
  2. View all connections

Removing Connections#

To disconnect a service:

  1. Find the service
  2. Click Disconnect
  3. Confirm removal

Company Memberships#

Viewing Memberships#

See all companies you belong to:

  1. Go to Account SettingsCompanies
  2. See list of workspaces
  3. View your role in each

Switching Companies#

If you're in multiple workspaces:

  1. Click the company name in the sidebar
  2. Select another workspace
  3. Or navigate directly to company.nanabase.co

Leaving a Company#

To leave a company workspace:

  1. Go to Account SettingsCompanies
  2. Find the company
  3. Click Leave
  4. Confirm

If you're the Owner, you must transfer ownership before leaving. Owners cannot leave without transferring.

Data & Privacy#

Exporting Your Data#

Export all your personal data:

  1. Go to Account SettingsData
  2. Click Export My Data
  3. Download includes:
    • Profile information
    • Private contacts
    • Account settings

Deleting Your Account#

To permanently delete your account:

  1. Go to Account SettingsData
  2. Click Delete Account
  3. Read the warnings carefully
  4. Type your email to confirm
  5. Click Delete Permanently

What happens:

  • Profile and settings deleted
  • Private contacts deleted
  • Company memberships ended
  • Contacts you shared remain (attributed to "deleted user")
  • Cannot be undone after 30-day grace period

Account deletion is permanent. Export your data first if you want to keep it.

Preferences#

Language#

Choose your interface language:

  • English (default)
  • More languages coming soon

Time Zone#

Set your time zone for accurate timestamps:

  • Auto-detect (default)
  • Manual selection

Date Format#

Choose how dates are displayed:

  • MM/DD/YYYY (US)
  • DD/MM/YYYY (International)
  • YYYY-MM-DD (ISO)

Frequently Asked Questions#

Can I have multiple accounts? You could, but it's not recommended. One account can be in multiple companies, so multiple accounts aren't necessary.

Can I merge two accounts? Not automatically. Contact support for help migrating data between accounts.

What if I forget my email? If you can't access your login email, contact support with your name and company details.

How do I change my name? Go to Account Settings → Profile → Edit your name.

Can I use a different email for each company? No, you have one account with one email. That account can be in multiple companies.
