Live Profiles
Invite a contact to connect their own Nanabase profile, so the details you saved can follow their live profile. Manage connected contacts in the Claim tab.
A contact you saved can be connected to that person's own Nanabase profile. Once it is connected, you can pull in the details they keep up to date themselves. Nanabase calls this claiming: the person confirms that the contact is them.
Invite a contact to connect#
- Open the contact and go to the Contact's Profile tab.
- If the person has not connected yet, the tab says so. Click Invite to Nanabase.
The contact needs an email address, because the invitation goes there. If the tab shows a reason instead of the button, for example that an invitation was already sent, follow what it says.
What the other person sees#
They get an email with a link. The page tells them that you have them in your contacts and asks them to confirm:
- Yes, confirm I'm (their name): the contact is connected to their profile.
- No, decline: nothing is connected.
The invitation expires after 30 days.
After a contact is connected#
On the Contact's Profile tab you see the person's live details.
- Update all to live profile copies their current details into your contact. When there is nothing new, the button reads Already up to date.
- Request update asks them to refresh their profile. You can send it once every 24 hours.
The Claim tab#
Your My Profile page has a Claim tab with three sections:
| Section | What it shows | |---------|---------------| | Activity | A summary of recent claim events | | Manage claimed contacts | Contacts you hold that follow someone's live profile | | Approval | People who asked to connect their live profile to a contact you keep for them |
For a claimed contact you can choose Pause updates, Resume updates or Detach permanently. Detaching keeps the details you have and stops following the live profile.
